The company is a subsidiary of GROEP STEVENS INTERNATIONAL N.V., a company with years of experience in customized vehicle construction, founded in 1870.After fifteen years of research and extensive testing, Composittrailer (R) brought its first trailer, entirely built out of composite materials, to the European trailer market. Series production has started.The use of composite materials brings many advantages due to low weight, lifespan, easy repair and maintenance. ACROSOMA (R) PANELA composite sandwich panel with a tri-dimensional fiber structure, result of a special production method. The fully patented ACROSOMA (R) production machine combines tufting (textile technique) with pultrusion (composite technique). The difference with other existing tri-dimensional production methods is the continuous production process.The highly reliable ACROSOMA (R) Panel machine is actually in use in Lokeren, Belgium, with a set-up for panels of 30 mm thick and a width of 2.65 meter.The panels are used in the all composite trailer made by COMPOSITTRAILER (R) N.V.and in this case consist of a glass fiber configuration, aramide fibers and vinyl ester resin.It is clear that these components can be changed subject to other applications.
