As from 1989, Europlasma is specialised in the design and manufacturing of gas plasma systems.Situated near Gent, Europlasma delivers its systems world wide. It focuses on the activation and dry-cleaning of plastic, ceramics and metals to promote adhesion before glueing, painting, printing or to modify surfaces to e.g. hydrophylic, hydrophobic, low friction or barier coated surfaces, and, more recently, plasma treatment of textiles and large parts (automobile dash boards and bumpers) The advantages of this application of plasma technology are obvious: - economic alternative to primer treatment - no environmental vapour waste due to primer aplication - environmentally friendly technique (no waste disposal) - easely to integrate into an in-line process - low cost operational cost

Europlasma designs and manufactures systems in the field of the application of low pressure plasma. Today, the process is executed under vacuum conditions.By this process, materials are exposed to the so called 4th state of the matter containing sufficient energy for allowing in the same matreial- surface activation and cleaning- micro etching- plasma polimerisation Applications- pre- treatment of parts prior to printing, painting, gluing . Cleaning of special navigation parts prior to assembly . Activation of polymer parts prior to coating/bonding . Cleaning of high performance PCB and hybrids prior to a top coat . Activation of honeycomb, panels and fibres to improve bonding with the matrix material in composites . Cleaning of accelerometer sensors, for super cleaning purposes . Deposition of barrier coatings on cabin windows .
