Starting in 1973, LICHTENKNECKER OPTICS has created an unique program of optical instruments, meeting the need for scientific observation instruments in the fields of astronomy. Revolutionary telescopes were developped such as the latest Multi-Purpose Telescope allowing both visual and photographic observation with one instrument.

Specific design, from development to realisation of prototypes or even mass production of larger optical components and complete instruments, maintenance tasks for which an optical experience is required.Products situated in a standard program are: - High precision telescopes and cameras for astronomy and other applications, with more than 10 types of optical designs. - Optical components, a.o. lenses, objectivesSpecial developments, custom oriented - lenses, (40 mm to 300 mm diameter) and mirrors (to 600 mm) - spheric, aspheric, flat surfaces, precision up to 30 nm PV - optical prisms and other geo metrical forms
