In Belgium, the " C‚bleries de Dour" and "Fabricable" founded in the late 80ties, Fabrisys, active in the world of harnesses. Fabrisys was integrated in the Alcatel Group in 1988 and was renamed Nexans Harnesses as part of Nexans (formarly Alcatel Cables and Components)Nexans Harnesses became a flexible specialist in electric and electro-optical connections and harnesses for industrial vehicles, trains, satellites and aircraft.

In close cooperation with the client, often from a mechanical model and interace specification, Nexans Harnesses develops, analyses (FMECA, drop voltage, etc), produces and even installs electrical and electro-optical interconnection systems, called harnesses, from flexible circuits to optical fiber.Products are made in the world of- Aerospace (aircraft and satellites)- Ground applications (cars and busses, trucks, agricultur vehicles, etc.)- Defence (aircraft, missiles, tanks and tank turets)A product developped in house: ICBC (In flight entertainment common backbone cabling, this for commercial aircraft)
