A Belgian tool manufacturing company specialised in the development and manufacturing of custom made tools for the massproduction.Stewal is subcontractor in this area for the following sectors: automotive, aero-space, nuclear energy, electronics, medicine, mechanical, engineering, textile, packaging industry, robotics...Built upon the collaboration with customers and scientific technical centres for industry, an extensive knowledge was acquired in the field of cams and cam systems : a.o., the development, calculation of velocity, acceleration, forces and stresses, its manufacturing.

In collaboration with the orthopaedic department of an university hospital: development of a revolutionary system for intra-operative, custom made hip prothesis. This required the development and production of a special machine for measuring with laser in three dimensions, 1500 dots in one minute and to process the results in an own CAD-system. Several spin-offs came of this project in the field of digital communication, surgical instruments and bio-compatible materials.Recently a coating facility for implants has been developped.
